Warning: Docks at Fairview Reservoir have noticeable Damage

Dear TrailMark Residents,

It has been brought to the HOA’s attention that there is noticeable damage to the most southern dock at Fairview Reservoir just west of the Fire Station.

Even though the HOA doesn’t maintain or own the docks, we alerted the TrailMark Metro District (TMMD) because we thought the docks and the maintenance of the docks fell under the purview of the TMMD. The TMMD quickly responded and told us that both docks at Fairview Reservoir are maintained and owned by South Suburban Parks and Recreation District.

On April 22nd, I sent an email to the proper individuals at South Suburban Parks and Recreation alerting them of the obvious hazard of portions of the dock floor being broken. Since I hadn’t heard a response as of noon today, I sent a follow-up email to South Suburban that this was urgent.

This afternoon, it appears that the South Suburban Parks and Recreation staff are investigating the damage to the dock(s) at Fairview Reservoir today. You will see yellow caution tape directing people to stay off of the dock(s).

Our Board wanted to warn our residents to stay off of the southern dock as it appears to be especially dangerous. We hope South Suburban Parks and Recreation fixes this dock soon.
