Another Thankful Reason to live in TrailMark

Dear TrailMark Residents,

Today as I was reading the local news, I paid close attention to an article on KDVR Fox 31. The article was highlighting a Littleton HOA who is strictly enforcing their covenants regarding dead grass and/or brown/yellow grass. The article is referring to the Ken Caryl Ranch HOA (https://kdvr.com/news/local/hoa-threatened-fines-for-dead-grass-despite-drought-restrictions-littleton-resident/) which is just north of TrailMark and west of C470 and Ken Caryl Avenue, also known as the Ken Caryl Valley.

Our TrailMark HOA Board made a decision about this issue back in April 2026 as we notified all of our residents that no resident would be fined or sent a courtesy notice as long as they were doing the best that they could given the strict drought restrictions from Denver Water (https://www.trailmark.org/2026/04/19/hoa-boards-decision-regarding-dry-grass-enforcement-during-the-denver-water-restrictions/).  

To date, no TrailMark resident has received an HOA courtesy notice or a fine regarding stressed lawns. I happily shared a personal comment with KDVR Fox 31 on their Facebook page post stating that the TrailMark HOA governs with “common sense and has empathy” as we are residents here, too (see photo of my screenshot Facebook response).
