Dear TrailMark Residents,
I wanted to give the TrailMark neighbors a heads up about a Celebration of Life for a veteran we will be hosting on August 16th.
We are honored to be hosting a Celebration of Life (COL) for a veteran at Chatfield Farms on the morning of August 16th. The family has requested a Three Volley Salute sometime between 11:30 am – 11:40 am that morning at the bottom of our amphitheater depending on the schedule of service. The volley will last about 20 seconds maximum and will involve 3-7 veterans firing blanks 3 times in unison, with a brief count between shots.
It will be performed by a compliment of professional service members including Navy veterans. The sound would be buffered by the trees along Deer Creek to the south and the embankment and trees of the amphitheater to the east and south. TrailMark is likely to hear the noise, and I wanted to ensure everyone it is safe and a common practice for servicemen’s funeral services.
The Littleton Police, Jefferson County Sheriff Non-Emergency and Army Corps of Engineers have been alerted. Littleton Police and Jeffco Sheriff dispatchers, the day of, will be aware to handle any calls from people.
