No Night at the Lights

Dear TrailMark Residents,

Several residents have recently approached the Board asking about the TrailMark Night at the Lights at the Botanic Gardens.

Unfortunately, the TrailMark Night at the Lights has been canceled this year. Some of you have not been able to make some of our past HOA meetings, but we’d like to explain why it was canceled.

The Botanic Gardens at Chatfield changed several rules which led to the cancellation. Here were some of the changes:

• TrailMark HOA can no longer have an exclusive night.
• The horse carriage rides are no longer allowed.
• Other visitors would also be allowed to take part with our “rented” Santa and our refreshments.
• The admission price would be the same as a normal night, no discounted tickets.
• We’d have to buy 500 tickets at full price, and if we didn’t sell 500, there were no refunds.

These changes did not sit well with the HOA Board, nor the Social Committee, so we passed at signing a contract.

Instead, our Social Committee is bringing Santa and the horse carriage rides to TrailMark on the evening of December 1st. Please watch the TrailMark.org website and the HOA Facebook page for more details as we are working out the final plans.
