Dear TrailMark Residents,
With the arrival of Spring, our Board wanted to make residents aware that each of you can help keep the bears away by placing your trash cans out on the morning of trash day, preferably between 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Our trash policy does not allow residents to place their trash cans out the night before trash day as it becomes a huge attraction to bears, other wildlife, and wind. Trash cans that are put out on Tuesday nights are subject to a violation notice as well as a citation from the Colorado Division of Wildlife if it becomes habitual.
A fellow TrailMark neighbor shared this article from A-Z Animals on simple things you as a homeowner can do to prevent bears from being attracted to your trash cans and your yard – https://share.google/sftfSmwMnUJpyJTwW
None of us want to see a bear endangered because of a homeowner’s carelessness with their trash cans. We urge homeowners to do their part to help keep the bears away from TrailMark. Please put your trash cans out on Wednesday mornings between 6:00-7:00 a.m.
Thank you,
